Why all those folders when I ripp?

When I ripped a CD (Smokie) so I´ll could add it to my MP3 player it looked funny.. I had a folder on my desktop and ripped the cd into it, then when everything was finished I opened the desktop folder.

Inside there where 12 other folders, in every folder there where 1 track and a picture of the CD cover. And the tracks didn´t have any numbers either so I´ll couldnt just put them in my player, because track 2 toke track 1 away and so on..

How do I ripp a cd so that all the tracks ends in only one and same folder?

    Please help me...
