I use an app called Phantom Burner, which is a virtual cd-r driver, to rip ape and flac files with cue sheets using Exact Audio Copy. EAC writes it's output to the virtual burner instead of an actual cdr. I can then open up any ripping program and navigate to that 'drive' and rip the contents. This works with iTunes and Windows Media Player but not with CD Ripper. CD Ripper recognizes the drive and pulls the correct meta tags for the 'CD' but, when I hit the play button the tracks appear to play but no sound is produced. I can even rip the tracks but the encoded output files do not appear to have any data in them - they don't play in any audio player.
I can use iTunes or WMA to re-encode these files but I really want to use CD Ripper because of its superior tagging capabilities. I rip mostly classical music and the CD Ripper tagging is better than any other app I've run across.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
