Deciphering what the CD ripper says

OK, so in the help pages I've found what do a tick mark, a green letter i and sort of what AR mean, but I'm having a dilemma about what does this mean:
    • A cross and a tick mark: Again the rip had no detectable errors, but this time the CD is not present in AccurateRip's database.

But a cross and an i - what does that mean? And the final information: 2 tick marks, 8 i's - what does that mean?

the grey X AR means the track/album is not in the accurate rip database (you could have a different pressing etc), the green check mark means that there were no errors/re-reads required for that track, the green I means that there were some errors/re-reads but that the ripper found matching re-reads.

If I remember correctly, you can right click the tracklist in the ripper and view the status log to see what it says.

It's in the dMC CD Ripper help file: "the green i indicates that frames had to be re-ripped, possibly an undetected error has slipped through."
