    Feature Request: report spurious C2 errors...

    Spoon,

    A favor, for those of us testing drives that show odd C2 behavior such as reporting many more C2 errors than would be expected ("Chicken Little" drives)...

    Would it be possible to note in the rip log the following condition:

    Pass 1 is Accurate(nn) so only one pass was needed...even though the drive still reported one or more C2 errors for this track. Perhaps something like:

    ...Track 1 Result: AccurateRip: Accurate (confidence 23) [DEADBEEF] {432 spurious C2 flags}

    It would help to rule out drives that supposedly support C2, but do so so poorly that they give errors even when none should be reported.

    Obviously with Inaccurate tracks, it would be impossible to note this.

    I feel if this option was there, people would question accuraterip as they see c2 errors. To test c2 on a drive you really need one standard disc and a program which can show the number of c1 and c2 errors.

      Perhaps if it was a one-time run option (resets after quit)?

      It would just help enormously in detecting drives where the C2 feature behavior is especially egregious.
