Spoon,
I noticed just now that a CD I inserted for just a moment had metadata, then it disappeared entirely (no artist, album nor tracknames). Hitting the meta button again did not bring it back. It was only after I disabled PerfectMeta, but left everything else checked, that it came back.
It turns out this CD does not have metadata via any of the network providers. Instead, the metadata came from the CD-Text. With Perfectmeta turned on, CD-Text appears to be ignored. Is it just not part of the Perfectmeta analysis matrix?
If not, should it be? Or, perhaps, if Perfectmeta comes up completely empty, should the cd ripper not fall through to the other sources?
