CDPlayer.ini update trouble in ripping CD

Dear,

I found CD ripper SOMETIMES writes the metadata into CDPlayer.ini but not always. Moreover, CD ripper SOMETIMES delete the artist information in the CDPlayer.ini and left blank when rips.

Does someone know how to predict when?

I feel that CD ripper forgets artist after ripping unless online database is avaliable....

Sorry for my late reply, but, yes it's R13.1.
Double-byte character encodings (other than Unicode) is harmful?

I did not think cdplayer.ini supports unicode.

What encoding is assumed when the ripper reads and writes CDPlayer.ini?
Can I use my local encoding (shift-jis in my case)?

It will be local char set.

R13.2 ALWAYS removes the artist information from CDPlayer.ini, even when it contains only ASCII characters.
