Secure ripping under WINE?

Hi

I've just upgraded to CD Ripper r13 and am hoping to run it under Ubuntu using WINE. However before I start ripping my CD collection I'd like to be certain that my rips over WINE will be as secure/accurate as those in Windows.

Does anyone know if WINE presents any obstacles to secure ripping?

Perhaps the c2 support, etc - basic ripping should work, you would have to test detection of c2 pointers under wine, I am interested to find out if they work.

OK some more info

1. Took a few attempts but found a key disc to set offset OK
2. Ripped in burst mode with CD in accuraterip and it reported is as accurate
3. Put in a scratched CD to check for C2 error detection and it reported that C2 errors were being returned.
4. Ripped some CDs that are not in accuraterip in secure mode. It performed 3 ultra secure passes and returned as secure

I guess I need to rip a scratched CD that is in accuraterip. If it rips without errors then I know everything is probably working as it should.

Is there any way of knowing how many C2 errors were reported during a rip?

C2 error count is the number of frames it has to re-rip.

This is GREAT! Knowing that dBPA will rip accurately under Ubuntu really helps me out since I don't have a robot; I have to use as many separate computers as possible and most of my CD drives are running on Ubuntu boxes.

I'm in the proccess of creating a ripping plan for my boyfriend's CD collection. I got him a 1TB drive to hold all his music for X-mas. So now I just have to actually rip the CDs.
