I have spent the last several days reading through the forums, so if I missed the answer elsewhere, sorry about that..... I am new to dBpoweramp and am using the reference version. I am getting ready to rip close to 1000 CDs, so I am trying to get this right.
1) I have left naming at default, yet CDs are named differently (not talking about compilations vs. non compilations to be clear). Some go Artist - Track - Song, others go track - artist - song. This can be in the same folder (see question 3 for more detail on mixed in same folder).
2) When ever I rip a CD I almost always have one song which fails the accuraterip, but is a secure rip. Re-ripping it fails to have it match accurate rip. Why is this? (Note: I set my settings to Spoon's settings in his Oct. post - C2 on, leave the cache at 1024KB and have 1 min ultra pass with finish after 1 clean pass.) I have tried checking / unchecking the secure rip at different speeds, but it makes no difference in at least one song failing accuraterip.
3) When I re-rip, if I right click and select the option to re-rip inaccurate /insecure /secure (warning) it doesn't overwrite the song. It uses a different naming convention. If I uncheck all, then check only the song I want to redo it overwrites. Why the difference?
Other info: Ripping on a HT-DT-ST-DVDRAM GH15F, 3MB DDR3 on Vista x64 Home Premium. I downloaded the dBpoweramp 2 days ago, so it should be current
Any advice / guidance for this noob is appreciated.
