    ASPI vs. Native

Excuse my ignorance, but is there any major differences between using ASPI and Native. I was unable to find an ASPI that worked on Vista (what a surprise) so I just used the Native setting. As I have no idea what these things do, I didn't know if it mattered which one was used and whether it affected the rip quality. I rip using Secure mode to mp3 using LAME vbr 2 and am getting quite a few inaccurate (but secure) results, primarily on CD's from Musical Heritage Society, BMG and imported discs. In reading some other entries, it seems an inaccurate result is not necessarily a bad rip as long as it is Secure.

If Native works correctly on your system, it is the best choice.

I'll note also that you're using EAC terminology ("Native"). With dbpoweramp, the equivalent is called "SCSI Pass Through (SPT)".

At least, that's the case under XP, I haven't looked to see if anything is renamed under Vista.
