    AccurateRip not recognizing key disks

    Hi,
I bought a new Dell Precision M4400 notebook and am not able to configure AccurateRip.
I've tried 10 key disks (listed on the web site) but dbpoweramp doesn't seem to recognize them as such.
    Any solution?

Do you get the message "This disc cannot be used to configure AccurateRip"? If so, just keep putting in the CDs you have that are popular and it should configure.

It seems dbpoweramp simply does not recognize them as a key discs.
I have made a test, installing dbpoweramp on an old notebook and, as soon as I inserted the key disc, I got the prompt " This audio CD can be used to configure AccurateRip" etc.
When I insert the same disc into the new computer I got no prompt at all.
I tried even with an external cd-drive but got the same result!

Check your CD drive for PIO mode: http://winhlp.com/node/10

I can't find a way to enable/disable DMA for this particular notebook.
Anyway, why an USB external drive (tested on the old computer and able to configure AccurateRip) would be affected by the PIO/DMA mode?

The new notebook system is Vista Business 64, I don't know if it's a problem.
I tested EAC and, all the times I insert a key disc, it complained the cd is not found in offset database, although it's recognized as such by the old computer.

          Any additional suggestion?
