Why Not Encoding 2 at a Time with Multi Encoder?

I noticed that when I use Multi-Encoder the speed of the rips decrease dramatically, and 2 different tracks aren't ripping/encoding at the same time. Is this normal or do I need to change my options?

I am doing Secure mode, maybe I don't really need to?
I am ripping to Lame and Apple Lossless at the same time, and I also selected High Quality. Maybe if I install 13.1 with Lame 3.98 I can set this to normal?

    Please advise, thank you!

Edit: I found the reason it was so slow, I was writing to an external harddrive through a USB 1.1... ugh.. when I switched to the internal harddrive it went much faster.

However, it still looks like it can only encode one at a time?

I'm impatient, I decided to post in another forum, and I don't know how to delete this post. :(
