How to simultaneously rip / encode

Hello, just got dbpoweramp CD ripper reference 13 - absolutely excellent so far.

One question - the CD seems to wait until the prior track has been encoded before ripping the next one, meaning it spins down and slows the whole process. Is true simultaneous ripping and encoding not currently a feature or am I just not realizing how to activate this? Have looked thru help files and FAQs but nothing specifically on this.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Do you have a Dual core CPU? ripping to secure or burst?

      Hi Spoon,
Dual core CPU, using multi encoder (to mp3 and flac then RPG plugin) with the "multi-CPU" box ticked.
      Thanks

      PS ripping to secure!

Multi CPU its self will not spawn on muliple encodes as its self is a multiple encode.

Fair enough, but is there any way to force to CD drive to start ripping the next CD track whilst the previous one is still being encoded?

If you do not use the multi-codec encoder, it does what you want.

For performance reasons, if you use the multi-codec encoder, it does not.

I see. I'll stick with the current multi-codec setup as I think performance is still overall very good.

Thanks for the prompt and helpful replies.
