    Tagging with External Hd?

Recently d/l'ed Dbpoweramp and ripped a few cd's to see how I liked it. Easily the best I have tried but am having a problem with getting the tags to my ext hd. There are no tags with the album files on the drive. Are they somehow going to the internal h/d while the album files go to the ext? If so how do I control the tag files?
Any suggestions will be very much appreciated.

How do you define 'tag files'? the audio files should contain audio tags within the files.

      Thanks for the reply.
Wasn't sure how the tags were handled. Now I know.
What might cause the tags to not be with the audio files? I thought that the tagging was automatic with poweramp. Do I have to set anything to get the tags?
      Really appreciate the help.

Hold the mouse over one of the files to see if there are any id tag contained.

Got it figured out. Now have tags. Only problem is when I go to artist on the duet it shows all artist on every album. Is there a way to restrict to just the main artist or main plus a certain number of artist?
          Spoon, Thanks for the info.
