    Is ripping speed this quick?

I'm a new dbpoweramp user - I only downloaded the previous release last week and was very impressed with the ripping speed to FLAC files. I wasn't able to get Accurate Rip to work (didn't recognise the discs) and was unable to get album art.

Well I noticed that Rel 13 was now available and thought I would install that before registering. I just ripped REM's "Monster" album that goes for approx 50 mins. Accurate Rip immediately recognised it & took a few seconds to configure. the album art came up.

It took only 4 mins to rip to FLAC, and then less than 1 1/2 mins to convert the FLAC files to mp3s (Lame -V0 VBR).

Is it this quick, or do you reckon I've configured it wrong? My previous settings were recognised (ie secure rip, etc).

    Cheers

    Paul

PS I have a relatively new computer

      Thanks EliC

I didn't think I had set it up wrong - I'm very impressed with the speed. Longer CDs may take about 6 mins which is much faster than I was getting with EAC.

I also put in an older CD I had which had copy protection stuff on it (The Dandy Warhols - Odditorium or Warlords of Mars). EAC wouldn't rip this at the time. dbpoweramp was able to rip it in approx 20 mins.

So far I'm very impressed and will register soon.

      Cheers
