    Blue Screen Mem. issue

    Hi,

Let me just start by saying what a great piece of software and very user friendly!

I purchased the R13 version yesterday and installed it on Vista 64, running 4gb of Corsair ram and my cpu is a q6600 @ 3375. I've run prime95 and Everest on my PC and it's rock solid stable.....that was the case. Since I installed dbpoweramp r13 I've had my pc blue screen on my twice now.

    Any suggestions?

What if anything were you trying to do when you got the BSOD?

I've pinpointed exactley when the BSOD occurs - once I click on a flac to play, it opens in Jet Audio (which played flac prior to R13 install) then BSOD happens.

No version of Windows should BSOD when playing any sound with any program, look at updating your drivers (graphics, sound card).

BTW R13 would not change Jet Audio or Windows sound playback in anyway, just as installing dbpoweramp would not change 'paint', they are different programs.

          Thanks.

I uninstalled the Jet Audio software, and installed Winamp.

This has stopped the BSOD, but it prevented PowerDVD from playing back my AVI's. I uninstalled Winamp then reinstalled the lite version and all seems fine right now.

I'm not entirely sure what caused it?

I'll check my Asus d2x drivers.....

In regards to Winamp preventing PowerDVD from playing AVIs, that is just because Winamp, by default, sets itself to be the player for all supported formats.
