    Rip cd problem

    Hi

I use dbpoweramp 12.4 registered, secure mode, ultra secure mode (all parameters are 1), windows xp sp3 and ripping cd is very slow (ripping speed x4.5 max with a lg gdrh20N serial ata).

    I have :

    core2duo e8400, 3 gb ram

    Why is too slow ?

    Thanks

    Re: Rip cd problem

Try a different CD and reboot windows (full shutdown). If it is still slow:

    Q. My CD drive is ripping very slowly? A. Try ripping to Test Conversion (set to no speed limit), this rules out a slow encoder, an average CD drive might start at x10 and get to x25 for the last CD track (the x speed can be seen on the tool bar whilst ripping). If the speed is obviously slow, around x2 and your computer seems

I have always the same problem and the accurate set in on +102 :(

My lg drive doesn't support C2 pointers, it's very strange !

Did you check the link Spoon posted about making sure your drive is still DMA?

It is nothing to do with c2 pointers (I do not think), to check the DMA of the drive you must look in 'Device Manager'

Strange the first "ide primary" is on dma mode but not the second and the third "ide primary". Same thing for "secondary ide"
