Ripping the disc in a separate drive with matching results increases your confidence that there are no errors.

As the confidence is only 1, you cannot be sure if your rip, or the other guys rip is the bad one.

Yes, no errors reported on the other tracks. The tracks with errors reported sound fine... I've even ripped them several times each, same result every time.

I came across some CDs where I'm getting errors. As I understand these are nothing to worry about. Someone else has either cocked it up, or my CDs are slightly different - different batch or something?

I want to make sure I'm drawing the correct conclusions. I.e. Is there something wrong with the rip I've done. Or is everything as it should be?

I decided to reencode my CDs as FLACs, hold them on my hard drive, and encode from those to Ogg Lancer aoTuv... I'm drifting off,,, back to the subject

I've been using EAC with AccurateRip.

I came across some CDs where I'm getting errors. As I understand these are nothing to worry about. Someone else has either cocked it up, or my CDs are slightly different - different batch or something?
