    Meta Data Question?

When I insert a CD it gets the Meta Data. However I have some CD's which are not on any of the databases. Therefore I would like meta data to stay in the Cd Ripper page when I change disc. It's just having to enter Artist, Date etc every time is annoying. Is there anyway to do this?

CD Ripper will cache the last 20 discs, you are best to submit the disc to freedb then it will be always there.

      Re: Meta Data Question?

Any reason there is a 20 disc limit? I tend to frequently re-rip my discs and fix alot of meta data in the process. It would be nice if dBpoweramp would remember all of them. There is no reason from a space standpoint that I can't store the data.

        Re: Meta Data Question?

With the way we store meta data, the file is about 4MB so it is a good number (it is not a limit of disc count rather file cache size).

If I had the option I would allow the cache to grow with each disc. Please consider it as a user option. Thanks.

This thread is in relation to hand-entered metadata, right?

I think it is for any meta-data of the disc that is being ripped.

                Re: Meta Data Question?

I requested the option to allow the caching of all meta data from the regular ripper as I do often hand edit meta data. In addition freedb is often down.
