    C2 off, "Secure" -- C2 on, "Insecure"

I'm having trouble understanding how to configure db to get optimally accurate rips, and also trouble understanding what the "rip status" (following a rip) means.

For example, my drive seems to support C2 (at least that's what it told me) -- but if I rip with C2 on, I get "Insecure" on tracks that display as "Secure" with C2 off.

If my drive supports C2, then shouldn't I get better results with C2 on?

A related follow-up question -- your intructions indicate different settings depending on whether the cd drive "supports C2 error pointers well" -- how can I know whether my drive supports C2 error pointers well?

For dBpoweramp even is C2 is suppoted badly it helps. I would generally say if the c2 rip is insecure then it is. Is it just one cd, one track or all cds and tracks?
