No sound until you wiggle the slider

Using CD ripper v 12.3 (per the text file in the install dir). Double clicking on a track on the CD the song starts to play and the time advances. No sound. I found that if I touch the position in the track slider the audio comes on. 100% repeatable on my machine.

What if you touch the volume slider? instead. When you double click the track and you cannot hear it, is the track time counter incrementing?

Yes, track counter starts running. No, moving the volume slider has no effect.
