Problem with speed

I got a problem with speed on the CD riper I use my slowest speed (8x) but now I can only use maximum speed now ...
Does anyone know what the problem could be ?

and I got the same options only maximum speed on all three drives I got in the computer

I think I found the solution myself, It was I had spinup time setting, when i turned of I could choose speed again and go back to two second spin up time
