Placing converted files to new folder,

This is what I rip to
D:\Rip and Burn\WAV\Album Artist\Album\File

I want the converter set up to this
D:\Rip and Burn\FLAC\Album Artist\Album\File

What it is doing right now is creating
D:\Rip and Burn\FLAC\Rip and Burn\WAV\Album Artist\Album\File

How do I set the converter up so I get the second example?

Post your naming string. And the full name with directories of file you are converting. You likely need a couple of [trimfirstfolder] commands at the beginning of your naming string

None of that blurb was helpful. Seriously, it hindered more than it helped. This program is counterintuitive.

If rip a WAV file to this for example.
D:\Rip and Burn\WAV\[album artist]\[album]\[track] - [title]

I have a separate FLAC folder I convert my FLAC to.
D:\Rip and Burn\FLAC. I want the rest to be the same i.e.
D:\Rip and Burn\FLAC\[album artist]\[album]\[track] - [title]

how to do I achieve this from
D:\FLAC\source path\source filename

what I'm getting is
D:\FLAC\Rip and Burn\WAV\[album artist]\[album]\[track] - [title]



You don't have to go through these hoops with other program that I paid less for

[TRIMFIRSTFOLDER][TRIMFIRSTFOLDER][origpath][][]\[origfilename]

note the two [] in the string

or this

This is a bit more robust, but @garym's first dynamic naming string will also work for the current location (not the second one).

In dBpoweramp Music Converter, select 'Edit Dynamic Naming' from the 'Output To' dropdown and enter:

Base Location: [origdrive]\Rip and Burn\FLAC\
Dynamic Naming: [BACKFOLDER]2[]\[BACKFOLDER]1[]\[origfilename]

Use multi encoder in cd ripper and rip direct to both formats at the same time.

How much does that slow things down?

The multi encoder rips a track only one time but converts the audio to each codec you specify. On multi core CPUs the encoding takes place in concurrent threads, so the additional run time is less than the time you need for an additional conversion run after ripping.
