Making a small USB playlist from a Large Playlist

I have a folder with 4000 Songs MP3, 400 CD's, in a iMac folder and on a USB drive that I use in my car.

It is just way too much so I wanted to just make a smaller USB of selected songs based on what I feel like listening to without having to browse that entire USB. This may be a stupid question, but what is the best way to create smaller USB's. I would probably just build them from the iMac Folder of titles.

I can then just erase and rebuild based on what songs I want to listen to.

Any suggestions on best way to do this.

You should look at the dbpoweramp related product, TuneFusion. It automates much of what you are trying to do.
