Batch profiles not saving

Hi
Batch converting an big amount of folders takes time and I just lost several hours of hand picked source file selection because of BC doesnt save profiles here.
I use 16.6
in the manual all is supposed to be automatic...
need help If I'm going to do all this again

When you close batch converter you can see the profile in the list? when restart.

all the profiles are still there but they where overwritten as a "no selected files" by the automatic save ...

Select a profile, then choose some files, close batch converter. Then load batch converter and select the profile, it should auto select your files.
