    Replay Gain

I searched the forum but didn´t find any good answer.
Sorry if it has been discussed before.

I am on MacOS and want to add ReplayGain tags to my flac files without touching the audio. In Batch Converter I can add DSP effects, but do i have to choose flac as a converter again? I am not sure if that is necessary and how it will affect the sound quality.

Also does it overwrite any existing ReplayGain tags?

    Merry Christmas from Sweden

You don't want to convert to FLAC again. Instead you convert to "ReplayGain" utility codec. If this is not an option in your "convert to", you need to download and install this codec from illustrate/dbpa. When you run this it all it does is create RG tags, overwriting any that are already there.
