I see that you can choose between "Album ID Tag" and "All files in same folder". The "Album ID Tag" method is sensitive to artist, right? I mean, if two artists happened to give their albums exactly the same name, dBpoweramp wouldn't conflate the two albums when calculating the replaygain tags, would it?

I had seen that thread, but the answer still didn't seem clear. Anyhow, I realized that I should just run the experiment, and I can confirm that two identically named albums are calculated separately when they have different artist tags.
If you have more than one version of the same album by the same artist (as I do), you would then use the "All files in same folder" option to make sure RG is calculated discretely (personally I add the mastering date in the album tag, so it doesn't matter in my case).Comment
