Trim Silence Intro/Outro Only

I'm using batch editor to trim intros/outros of songs I have in my collection. I'm afraid strip silence will strip within the song when I only need it to do the intro and outro. How can I handle this issue?

Trim silence only trims at the start or end, never in the middle. Set the detection threshold low if you want to be sure not to trim any audio.

Is it possible to just use the strip silence and not convert the file?
