Tags Differ From Original Files After Conversion.

Hi I ran into a tag-related issue and could use some help. I converted an album from FLAC to MP3 320kbps using the batch converter and noticed a difference in the tag info between the MP3's and the FLAC's. For example, the artist tag for one of the .FLAC's is "The Avalanches feat. Danny Brown & MF DOOM", but when I convert it to an MP3, the MP3's artist tag field displays "The Avalanches feat. Danny Bro". This sorta thing seems to happen to other tag fields as well, such as the title tag. Is there anyway I can preserve the tags during the conversion process so that the .FLAC's and .MP3's have identical tags? Thx in advance for the assistance!

What version of ID3 tags do you use? Did you try v2.4?

This suggests you are writing an id3v1.1 tag which is limited in length.

Thx for responding so quickly, guys! Here's a snapshot of the mp3 section of my config, which I left unchanged since installation: http://i.imgur.com/xUIu7I5.png

Thx! I'll try changing the Tag Creation field to ID3v2 and see what happens.

Nope! I was using "Ape2 & ID3v1" tags apparently and my ID3v2 version was set to "v2.3". I'll change it to "v2.4". Thx!

You need to change the option to:

          id3v2.3
