I used to use batch converter to edit ID tags for folders of songs already ripped. Made the job so easy!
Now when I load folders into batch converter & tap on the artist/title/genre/etc of a track, the edit isn't opening up. The tags arent selectable at all.
I can still edit id tags individually by clicking a track in the windows file explorer folder. Time consuming! Really need to do batches.
I had a rummage here on the forum looking for answers. Concluded I might be missing a codec somehow (no idea how as it worked perfectly a few years ago... my stuff has been in storage a while!)
So I checked the available codecs on DB's site & the ones necessary for what I'm trying to accomplish (arrange audio & ID tag update) are actually included in DBPA Reference. I.e. they're part of the main package, not something I can download & run separately.
Maybe it's a permissions issue? Or from Windows updates running a wrecking ball that destroys basic functionality again? Had so many issues! Still on Windows 10 & will be switching to Linux Mint as soon as I find time to do that.
