I tried DSP max length set to 2 hrs. The same files convert correctly and the same fail. Looking at a successful vs failure in Win 10 properties the properties are the same.
I made the MP3 files from vinyl to MP3 at 256 kbs and some are CD rips. I am using dBpoweramp batch convert with encoding = MP3 (Lame), Mode = CBR.
I'm probably missing simple.
Yes. The 256 kbs files play from my HHD or from a copy on a SSD with out a problem via Real Player, VLC, Windows Media, etc. My problem is that the 256 kbs files will not play on my new car stereo without ending part way. The auto shop says the bit rate needs to be lower thus this exercise. It is odd that many of the files do convert to a lower KBS at the original length but some come out with a shorter length or even 0:00 length. The ones that convert to a shorter length do so consistently to the exact same shortened size when converted to 128, 144, or 196 kbs. The 128 & 144 kbs with full length conversions do play in the car from a SSD.
