The 2 files checkout ok, so it is something else. If you start Batch Converter, it does not crash until you click on something? if you select the drive C from within Batch Converter, does it crash?

Just tried it out. If C drive has no mp3 files and I click on it, it does not crash. Once I put an mp3 file into C drive and then click, it crashes!

Try uninstalling dBpoweramp then resinstalling, this issue suggests either the mp3 decoder is corrupted, or something on your system is interfering with it.
