About 5000 audio files with dead air at beginning: Needing batch removal

I purchased a complete Radio imaging Library consisting of over 5700 audio files, however, and much to my surprise as it's aimed at radio station ON AIR broadcasting a great majority of the 5700 files have 1s, 2s. 3s up to 4s dead air at the beginning rendering all affected files (like drones, beds, ramps, themes and so on) perfect for production in Audition but totally useless in our Jingle Cart Wall where all audio of course most fire immediately for the ON AIR talent to properly produce his radio show.

I got this product recommended on the online forum for out Playout Software and I'll purchase immediately today when someone confirms the batch removal is possible as we cannot manually remove dead air in 5000 files in Audition.

    Cheers from Copenhagen,

    /Morten

There is a DSP effect 'Silence Removal' which can be used, try on a few test files and keep a backup.

Okay, I copy pasted a trial folder full of audio files to my MacBook desktop. I have opened the folder in dBpoweramp Music Converter but I cannot find the DSP Effects. And when I search for DSP or Trim in the Help Search Field I don't get any relevant hits.

Sorry for the noobie questions but I am totally new to dBpoweramp Music Converter.

Oh, I need dBpoweramp Reference. Is this purchase only and no trial version?

You would need dBpoweramp Reference for DSP effects.

Did anyone find a way to batch remove the dead air in this library? Maybe using a script or a specific Audition function?

Use dBpoweramp batch converter and include the DSP effect Trim Silence.
