Batch Convert a Subset of Folders

I am thinking about converting my music library from ALAC to AIFF, but want to do so in multiple segments (i.e., A-F, G-M, etc.) as to not lock up the computer for 23 hours. Is there a way to select a range of folders without selecting (or deselecting) each one individually?

There is no way to bulk select folders and exclude.
