Removing Silence

Hi,
A significant amount of timed and space is wasted with exceptionally long run out tracks, space between tracks and swathes of silence leading up to hidden tracks.
Can these infuriating silences be removed from preexisting MP3 and AAC files using dBPower Amps Batch Converter?

There is the 'Remove Silence' DSP effect, but you have to reencode from mp3 >> mp3.
