Folks, don't give up on the old fella yet!
It is possible to install and use it just as you did before with a couple of extra tweaks!
I think i have been using this player since it was NEW! LOL I love it! Its uncomplicated and i love the simplicity! I love the Music selection. I HAD to find a work around.
Due to Win 8.1 having the capability to work in compatibility mode for Win 7, Win XP sp 3 and others it is certainly possible.
All you have to do is download the program and before running the install, highlight the file, right click, choose "tTroubleshoot compatibility" then choose the top option "Try recommended settings" then hit the test button (no need to hit allow if you know it has run on the recommended setting) then hit next and then yes, save these settings for this program.
THEN run the installer. Repeat the above with all Application files! and it will run like it was still XP sp 3.
