Verify Hi Res

How do I verify that a Hi Res file on my PC passes through the audio chain between Asset on the PC and the amplifier?

I do not have a DAC that displays the file resolution being played so I look for the weakest link in the audio chain.

The weakest link is a wireless Sony blu ray that is not Hi Res.

So it “breaks” the Hi Res audio chain.

This means that all the 24/96 files I played have not been played as Hi Res but CD.

Thoughts? Confirmation?

If the player does not show what the bit depth of what it is playing then I do not know how you can verify.
