Use Sort to order Display not working properly with French names

I have this setting on, but one particular French artist, L'Impératrice always sorts under L and not I, even though 'artist sort' and 'album artist sort' tags are set to 'Impératrice'. the L' being French abbreviation for 'The', it's the equivalent of 'The Beatles', 'The Clash', 'The Jam', 'The Who' etc. all sorting under T.

... after setting the artist sort and album artist sort tags to 'Impératrice' did you Refresh Asset?
