    Artist 'Art'

    Hi,

I'd like to add artist art to each artist in my library. I've tried adding an artist photo to the parent folder but that doesn't seem to work. I've seen various references to upstream artwork but can't find details on how to configure that, if it is indeed the possible solution.

Are there any instructions available on how to do what I'm after?

    Thanks,

    Pete

Hi all, I purchased and installed Asset R6.6 in volume2 of Synology DSM6.2.3. I want to use upstream artwork and checked here: Allows user to replace upstream art, add to folder %appdata%\dBpoweramp\uMediaLibrary\AssetUserUpstreamImages\ for example can add image 'New Order.png' to replace the artist shown image for New

Will help locating the right location to save the images.

The logging route didn't work for me, but the config folder /volume1/@AssetUPnP-Data/.dBpoweramp/ is listed when I open Asset config.

If that folder is the correct one, I have two issues:
+ its not browsable from within DSM, even for an admin
+ accessing the folder by SSH, even with an admin account, states access denied

New beta of Asset introduces the ability to manipulate custom artist images via web interface-

Hi @PeterP, I've installed the 7.3 beta, but its not working as expected - perhaps I'm missing something.

I uploaded a 500px x 500px jpg using the asset web interface. I've confirmed the file is in the correct folder on the Synology via SSH.

When I browse by artist I should see the following:

Name:	idaho.jpg
Views:	1
Size:	53.6 KB
ID:	294450

But I see the default image as in this screenshot:

Name:	Screenshot_20210516-194702 (Custom).jpg
Views:	1
Size:	88.3 KB
ID:	294451

I've done a complete reindex of the asset database and see no change.

                  Thanks for your feedback.

The feature currently works for PNG files only, please save the image as .PNG and try again.
Not sure why we made it only scan PNGs - I'm changing this for the next update.

Works perfectly for me with png too, thanks.

Would be great to have jpg compatability too in future if possible, but for now I'll stick to pngs. Thanks for this, love it!

R7.3 beta-3 with JPEG (.jpg) works well.
Whatever, I'm sticking with PNG as it should show better quality.
I've tried different file (pixel) sizes & found 600x600 work well with no visible differences to larger/double, so I'm sicking with that.
