Upgrading to Asset R7

I am currently running Asset R6.6 on my QNAP server. I have realized that version R7 is out. I hope to preserve my configuration settings. Is it OK to install R7 over R6.6 or should I uninstall R6.6 and do a clean install of R7? If the latter, are there files I need to save to preserve the settings?

You can uninstall, most settings are preserved, although Asset v7 uses many new config files (tree, database, etc)
