ID tag inclusion and excclusions at the same time

Is it possible to include both exclusions and inclusions at the same time.
Spcifically, I have a library that includes only a single artist. This works well, but I'd now like to add an additional exclusion based on genre. So for example, I'd like all tracks from this artist, but exclude live versions.
