Asset UPnP and support for DSD 128

I recently bought a license for Asset for Synology as an upgrade from Minimserver. I am looking for playback of my DSD 128 albums. My understanding is that Asset for Synology does not support DSD 128 (my DAC and player support DoP DSD 256. I have quite a few of these DSD128 albums. I love native playback and that is why I will not choose to transcode on the fly now as I also transcode all my DSD 64 which play fine. Alternative (second best) is to have Asset transcode DSD to FLAC but only the DSD128 variant and do not touch DSD 64. Suggestions?

Your DSD files they are what exactly? .dsf?

Just to confirm, is this to say that Asset UPnP does not support streaming of DSD 128 files? What level of DSD file support is there for streaming, or is this streaming with specific hardware such as a NAS device?

Asset will stream DSD 64, 128 and 256 'as is' that is as a .dsf file sent untouched to the player.

If the player only supports DoP embedded, and the audio is file is not already DoP embedded, and you want Asset to create the DoP embedding on the fly, then only DSD 64 is supported.

Thanks. My DAC going with Synology/Asset does only support DOP for DSF. Again support for DSD128 with DOP would be very welcome.

Asset should support DoP 128, to serve these files the sample rate is set to 352.8kHz, you need a player which is able to understand this high frequency.
