    @eaDir?

Just trying out Asset streaming from my NAS and using Bubble UPnP on my phone to control.

I notice that when I browse into an album at the top of the track listing is an entry titled @eaDIR. This is in every album folder and appears to be a subfolder. If I touch on it it sometimes has a few tracks from the album listed, sometimes it is empty.

    Any ideas?

Yes. I will have a go at deleting them as per the link you posted (thanks). Strange that they didn't show up befre when using the Synology Media Server software.

Thanks Spoon. I have got rid of them, now I need to work on stopping them getting created. Looks like there are some ideas on that online too.

          Thanks for your help.

Please update to the latest Asset R6.3, it excludes system & reserved folders from browsing by folder & file names.

              Thanks PeterP. Just done that.

Ideally I would use browsing by Album Artist as it gives an A-Z structure. The problem is that it doesn't show a bunch of my library as (I think) the ID tags probably aren't set up consistently. Faced with having to identify all the missing albums and edit their tags it was easier to go with folder browsing!

                Re: @eaDir?

I am now, suddenly, having this exact same problem. These folders are appearing through AssetUPNP only. Is there a way to hide them again?

Which version of Asset do you have?

The very latest, version 7, which I installed a few days ago.

I just did a full re-index of the media files on my NAS (7 hours) and the @eaDir folders are still visible to AssetUPnP and all the apps that use it (but not to apps looking as Synology's server or Synology's file manager)

This is a new issue and seems to have been introduced with version 7.

Please can you confirm and if there is a fix?

                      Thanks!

                        Thanks for the bug report.

Apparently hiding of special folders was not enforced for "Folders & Filename Browsing".

This is now fixed in R7.1 beta 5-
