QNAP: exclude @Recycle folder in Folders & Filename browsing

Hi,

I was not able to find a way to exclude folders in Asset UPnP. This causes on my QNAP the default @Recycle folder to be shown as first in the navigation tree when I use Additional / Folders & Filename Browsing view (even, if it is empty). Is there any way to exclude it? I've just upgraded to the latest 6.2.

Will be added in the next Asset update, thanks for reporting. There's currently no way to exclude this.

Hi Peter can you also add an exclusion for any _gsdata_ folders aswell please?

These are backup data folders used by the synchronisation tool Goodsync. Theres no way to delete this folder and keep Goodsync functioning correctly

Either that or a way to exclude user specified folders...........

I'm runnning AUPNP on my QNAP. _gsync_ is in my network music folder which is used by client devices (i.e. my windows laptop) to hold backup sync data (a bunch of mp3s on this particular occasion)
So when i scan Music into AUPNP it picks up both the mp3s in _gsync_ and all my real music in the main folder.
I tried hiding _gsync_ from my windows laptop, rescanned but still contents of _gsync_ were present in my library
I also tried Hide Network Folder (from windows) through my QNAP interface but _gsync_ contents still exist in my library

I think its because AUPNP is on my QNAP and it doesnt understand folder hiding. Unless im completely mistaken...

_gsync_

i.e. no period before

Hi Spoon,

Was the _gsync_ folder hide incorporated in Asset?
I upgraded to 6.5 and its not working
So i upgraded again to 6.6 and its still not working
My library is duplicated around 34,000 tracks instead of 17,000 becuase Asset is reading out of the _gsync_ folder.
Tried a Folder rescan and All rescan but the duplication still persists

Folders named _gsync_ are excluded in the current version of Asset (R6.6) - verified with R6.6 final on my own QNAP machine.

Are you sure that this is the exact name? No dots, no extension?

Hi Peter thanks for the response. I know what the issue is. Looking at my media library today the folder is _gsdata_ and for the life of me i cant find _gsync_ now. I am extremely careful about these things so must've seen _gsync_ somewhere. Maybe goodsync changed it or maybe it was a F up on my part, if so massive apologies.
Can you switch it to _gsdata_ please and book me in with a brain doctor?
