    Unable to Block LG TV

    Asset's memory usage goes up even if I'm not using it at all. It looks like my LG TV is responsible!

    My LG TV is listed as a Control Point as below
    Linux/4.4.3-208 UPnP/1.0 LGE WebOS TV LGE_DLNA_SDK/1.6.0/04.71.00 DLNADOC/1.50

    So I've pasted this to the Blocked control points in the Overrides section exactly as above.
    But the logging from my TV continues. Looking at logs-upnp I can see a lot of logging. Sample below.
    [16:19:52]
    [16:19:52] OnBrowseDirectChildren::object_id: co8386C7AB1867500D
    [16:19:52] ControlPoint: Linux/4.4.3-208 UPnP/1.0 LGE WebOS TV LGE_DLNA_SDK/1.6.0/04.71.00 DLNADOC/1.50
    [16:19:52] ContainerLong: 0\Additional\New Tracks
    [16:19:52] SQL: (t_style='19' OR t_style1='19' OR t_style2='19' OR t_style3='19')
    [16:19:52] DIDL Cache Key: Linux/4.4.3-208 UPnP/1.0 LGE WebOS TV LGE_DLNA_SDK/1.6.0/04.71.00 DLNADOC/1.50 :: 192.168.1.66 :: 192.168.1.81

    Have I missed some syntax in the blocked definition?

    Thanks
    Steve

    The lg is responsible, it will try to browse every tree there is in Asset, which is infinite.

    Try entering just:

    LGE WebOS

      Hi Spoon,

      Thanks but it didn't work. I have managed to block the TV in the security settings of my QNAP by adding the IP to the Deny list. And I've configured my router to issue the TV the same IP address via DHCP each time.
      Is there an easy way to clear the logs ?

      Thanks
      Steve

        If there are multiple logs, then no easy way to clear them, unless you can ssh in.

          Yep, I can ssh in to the QNAP. I did try to find them but couldn't

            Thanks for the bug report, failure to ban a control point is being investigated and will be shortly addressed.

            In meanwhile, you can add these lines to control point overrides:
            =WebOS
            [SimpleBrowse]

            This will cause LG TV to just get a list of tracks, with no hierarchy to recurse into. From the next version on, these lines will be included by default, so this issue will require no further attention from Asset users.

              New beta posted-
              Current version: R6.2 beta 15 Downloads: <now released> (Synology link until it is published) http://www.dbpoweramp.com/beta/Asset-R6.2b15.spk Changes since R6.1 Fixed AAC decoding on QNAP with 64-bit ARM processors. Warning on corrupted database file, shown when accessing web config. Standalone builds for ARM64

              Blacklist/whitelist feature works properly now. Though [SimpleBrowse] is the recommended way of mitigating this problem.
