    Chromecast weirdness....

    Hi all,

Running Asset Premium from my Mac.

Trying to play songs using mConnect playing to a new Chromecast Audio and my old Denon integrated amp, analog connect.

    FLAC files play perfectly.

I get the dreaded “Delay in streaming or unsupported file format” message.

For grins, I installed Universal Media Server. Both formats play fine. But I really want to use Asset, as I paid for it and the interface is much better. Looked at settings, no file types are excluded. I must be missing something, but after much thrashing about I’m hoping someone on the forum can point me in the right direction.

    Thanks in advance,

    Kerry

You should set Asset to transcode this to Wave, you can do this on the Asset configuration program, set M4A to 'as wave', then re-add the tracks to the player.
