I use a Musaic MPL player with its app installed
on a Samsung smartphone under Android. I use a
router Fritz Box for a private Wi-Fi between the
smartphone and the MPL; and I connect a Windows
10 laptop to the router via an ethernet cable. On the
Windows 10 laptop I have installed the Asset UPnP server
The whole thing is not connected to internet, since I only
want to play my flac and wav files staying on the laptop
hard disk. I send the digital output from the MPL to an
external converter via the coaxial RCA output.
I have a quite strange problem: when I used the 30-day trial
version of the Asset UPnP server, everything was working
normally. But when I bought, downloaded, and installed the
registered version of the Asset server, which looks exactly
the same as the trial one, every time I select "Genres" in
the Musaic app list under "Music libraries", the Musaic software
gets killed. I just can't see my files by genres, with the
registered version of the Asset server.
I have a rather large number of tracks on my hard disk - about 4
thousand - grouped into folders each containing a full
album. Apparently, however, this is not the problem,
since I can see every track if I select the "Tracks" item,
and I can see every Album and every Author. And the
number of tracks was the same when I used the trial version
of Asset, which DID see the Genres. But now, with the
registered version of Asset, I just can't see any Genre:
the Musaic software is instantly killed.
Any idea?
