Asset and Mac

Hopefully a simple question!

Do the music files I want to serve Sonus, my Linn Exakt system need to be on the machine i.e. my mac as the Asset for Mac software. Ideally I would want them to be on an external HD?

As long as the Mac has access to the files, you can specify the location in asset.
