    Browsing Tree - Problem

Can anyone help me with this problem please?

I use the "Mood" tag to capture the dynamic range of each ripped CD e.g. DR08. I use the "Style" tag to capture some quality related information of my ripped CDs e.g. Lossless

I've set up the browse tree so that I should be able to see my CDs based on the "Mood" value and also based on "Style" value....I've attached a screen capture from Asset of the browse tree. I've also attached a screen capture of the metadata associated with one of my CD rips. I rip and tag exclusively with dBPoweramp tools.

Now all the above worked perfectly well for a long time but for some unknown reason I can no longer browse the tree based on Mood although Style still works the way I intended. The problem has existed for a little time now but only just got araound to trying to resolve it. I'm not aware that it occurred with a particular change. I'm running Asset 5.1 on a Windows XP (SP3) laptop........the laptop is dedicated to running Asset and doesn't get changed and as XP is no longer supported hasn't had updates for quite some time, it's a mystery as to why this doesn't work anymore.

My main control point app is the Naim app but I've also tried PlugPlayer and get the same problem. I would be great to get this working again if anyone has some suggestions?

    Thanks

      Select the Album node under:
      Mood
      Album Artist
      Album

Do you have the No Track Listing option ticked?

... and you have defined mood in the MediaDatabaseFieldsv5.txt file?

No, never heard of that file being referenced before. I've just searched on my system and that file doesn't exist. As I said in the description this did all work previously?

Do I need to create this file?

            Thanks

I don't know how this worked previously as I believe the tag has to exist in the MediaDatabaseFieldsv5.txt file.

Read this: Adding custom tags. You may have to google appdata folder, to help you find it on a Windows XP pc.

Ok, thanks I'll take a look

This works perfectly for the "style" tag though, would "mood" be considered custom and "style" not?

It does exist, it is just hidden in the Asset uMediaLibrary folder.

Style is pre-defined in the MediaDatabaseFieldsv5.txt file.

mville......thanks very much, that fixed the problem!

That file did exist in the directory identied in the link you provided, not sure why search didn't locate it, maybe because it was in a hidden directory, perhaps.

Not sure why this worked previously I don't recall ever editing that file, maybe "Mood" wasn't always a custom tag, anyway doesn't matter now it's all working.

                      Thanks again!
