QNAP TS253pro Asset UPnP wiil not Install.

Hello,

When I try to install this I get the message "please install HD station first" .
Any ideas?
I repeated the download / install sequence twice.

Just received this warning by email from the NAS
"[App Center] This version of Media Streaming Add-on and firmware are incompatible. Go to App Center or official website to check for update."
I have just installed the latest firmware 4.3.3.0262

No idea why it would fail.

We certainly do not require the HD Station. Two of my own QNAP units run Asset without HD Station installed.

What firmware are your QNAPs running?
What is this "HD Station" anyway.
I wonder if other people have hit this problem and simply walked away.

Apparently my models are too old to get 4.3.3, all I get is 4.2.x.

"HD Station" is their codename for the HDMI output app for running web browser and various NAS controls on a TV screen.

It is probably my firmware version then.
It is hard to see why an exclusively audio app would require such things.
Do you think Illustrate will show an interest in this problem?

I have updated a QNAP to 4.3.3.0262 and removed every app except download manager. Asset installed fine without issues.

Try a full restart of the QNAP.

I tried a Reboot [ triggered from the GUI ] but got the same failed install result.

I noticed this on the log:

I have not tried removing other apps [ yet ] .
