When browsing the music through artist/album/etc., the first item of each list works fine. However, when I try to browse by playlists, the first item of each list has no metadata and when attempting to play in foobar2000 with foo_upnp, the track is skipped with a message that it is missing/corrupt. Trying to play through mediamonkey results in mediamonkey either skipping the file or crashing. I've manually looked inside the playlists and the first item for each seems totally innocuous. I've tried playlists with both relative and absolute paths. I've tried m3u normally and that works fine for the first items though it obviously doesn't work for songs with unicode filenames. Any chance for some help?

Take a playlist which works (m3u) and rename m3u8 (change the playlist filename also to be sure using new one), does it still work? -

Re: First Item in m3u8 Playlists Not Working
Also, thought I should say that I'm saving the playlists from foobar2000's save playlist option. I also tested saving playlists without songs with unicode filenames/metadata and the same problem occurs. When I create the playlist with mp3tag, there's a entry of *EXTM3U and none of the metadata works for the rest of the playlist.Last edited by euphemon; July 12, 2017, 04:44 PM.Comment
